Tetebatu Rinjani Trekking

Tetebatu Trekking Route

Tetebatu Village is located on the southern slopes of Mount Rinjani in East Lombok Regency, at an elevation of 650 metres above sea level.

Tetebatu is one of the official climbing entrances to Mount Rinjani from Mount Rinjani National Park, reaching Plawangan Tetebatu and Mount Sangkareang, both 3,200 metres above sea level. Hiking via the Tetebatu route only reaches Plawangan Tetebatu and cannot reach the lake or summit of Mount Rinjani.

The hiking trail is pristine, with much of the trek taking place under shady trees. The climb to Plawangan Tetebatu can take two days and one night for regular hikers or a single day for experienced hikers or mountain runners.

The views from the summit of Plawangan Tetebatu or Sangkareang Mountain are breathtaking, especially at sunrise or sunset, when you can clearly see Lake Segara Anak, Mount Baru Jari, and the summit of Mount Rinjani.
